Ground & Return

Privacy

We don't ask. We don't track. We don't sell.

Last updated · April 2026

In short

Ground & Return is a local-first app. There is no account. There is no profile. We do not collect names, emails, locations, or behavior. Your practice state — what day you're on, your notes — lives on your device.

The only personal data the app touches is what you explicitly grant: notification permission, and optional Apple Health permission for saving completed sessions.

What we collect

Crash diagnostics

If the app crashes, Apple's standard diagnostic system may send anonymized crash logs back to us. This is governed by your iOS settings under Privacy & Security → Analytics. We read these logs only to fix bugs.

In-app purchases

Purchase and free-trial state are handled by Apple. We don't store payment information ourselves; the app reads receipt status from Apple's StoreKit framework.

That's all.

No analytics SDKs. No advertising. No third-party trackers. No marketing identifiers.

What stays on your device

  • · Which day of the Foundation path you're on
  • · Sessions you've completed
  • · Practice notebook entries
  • · Reminder time, if you've set one
  • · Apple Health permission state

This data is stored locally using Apple's standard frameworks. It is included in your encrypted device backup if you back up your iPhone. Deleting the app deletes this data.

Permissions

Notifications

If granted, used only to send one daily practice reminder at a time you choose. You can disable this any time in Settings.

Apple Health

If granted, completed sessions are saved as Mindful Minutes / Yoga workouts. Read access is not requested. You can revoke this any time in iOS Settings → Health.

Children

The app is rated for general audiences and does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, of any age. There is no profile or login system.
